Leaving home

If you are 16 and runaway with your girl friend and her baby, and the father died, until your 18 and then come home when you turn 18, and you ranaway because your girl friends parents were emotionally abusing her adn it wasnt a safe enviroment for the baby and you tried to get help but no one would help, and when you left you had a place to stay and food and everything else! your just leaving your home and your parents could never find you but I could keep in contact with them through my friend who didnt know where I was but I called him everyweek stating that im ok and everything.and dont come home till im 18 and I live in the state of washington. will we get in trouble, like jail time or get the baby taken away for doing this?

Answer #1

There may very well be penalties - why not get PROOF of parental abuse / unsafe environment, report, and neither of you have to run away.

Answer #2

If the baby is in a safe and healthy environment, and they don’t know where you are, but you’ve made sure that your parents know you’re safe…well…after you’re 18, there’s nothing that can be done.
