How do I learn how to say "no" to people?

yeahyeah, thanks :) It’s more people asking for my help but that could work too :)

So speaking that you would like to help them, but have no other way of saying “no” too them? More like it’s generous that you help them out, though more like say “Sure, though I have to do something in the meantime, not to disappoint you in a way” though a little lie could lead to anything if constantly used. But I hope something comes around in the future ;3

Practice makes perfect, just say I wud like to help but I don’t have the time sorry

say no thank you very politely and just tell them a little bit why you think not

With a measure of honesty (but that doesn’t always have to mean telling them every reason you won’t help), tempered by a measure of tact. But much of the time, no explanation is necessary; a simple “No, sorry I can’t help you with that” will do.

And like Tammy said, PRACTICE. Find someone who you’re not embarrassed to share this question with, and ask them to make insignificant requests of you just so that you can turn them down! {;^) Then visualize yourself saying some version of “No” in a more real situation.

“I wish I could help but I can’t.” “Why not?” “Its impossible. Maybe next time?” “Why, what are you doing?” “Some other things have come up.” “What things?” “Let’s talk about that later but right now I have to go. I may have more time next week/month/year/century”
