leagllyy movin out

At 17 can you leaglyyy move out at age of 17 if you have a roof over your head, an food to eat, an moneyy to have, an clothes on your back??

Answer #1

You cant move out at age 17 because you arent an adult until yo uare 18. You have a guardian until the age of 18 so sosmeone is responsible for you. You dont have that long to go if youre 17, you might as well just wait.

Answer #2

There’s a lot of confusion regarding this.

The law basically states that a parent can not have a child removed from the home until they reach the age of 18, but what if the child chooses to leave? Well, you can leave your home, and your parents can call the police to have you returned, but technically, they can’t force you back into your parents home unless you’re in a situation which they deem inappropriate or unsafe.

Here in Ontario, Canada you only have to be 16 (not 18)…and even then, the law is lax. I’ve been on my own since I was 15.

Answer #3

yes you can legally move out as early as the age of SIXTEEN dependent on your circumstances. Apply for social security and they will pay up to £80 pw rent for you (if your unemployed) you can also apply for jobseekers allowance. x

Answer #4

Nope…

Here in Canada you have to be 18, cause thats when your legally considered an adult…

At 17 you could be considered a “runwaway”…
