What kind of life stories do you like reading about?

  In my experience: the modern teenage dramatic life-story spectrum would have to be:   (a) Vampires; (b) Zombies; (c) My Little Pony; (d) Lascivious unrestrained eroticism; (e) Video Games;   In that specific order, but with an overarching proviso that each genre must include the essential prerequisite intrigue of unplanned pregnancy.    

I like reading about drug problems or teen struggles and or other things like that. Like Impulse, Go Ask Alice, Frozen Fire, Blade, Crank, Glass, etc.

I love a dramatic, conflicted, angsty main character that gradually goes through inner changes throughout the novel. Realistic struggles (dru.gs, family drama, abuse, loneliness, death, etc.) and plot twists are what I find the most appealing. The best books, in my opinion, are the ones that contain those literally jaw-dropping moments that leave the reader going back to reread the text. Books that only revolve around a love affair are boring to me; there needs to be more substance.

Some of the most interesting things to read are nooks about people that have strange mental disorders like Todd’s syndrome.

Mostly stories about things that could not happen to me in life. I read to experience stuff I would not otherwise experience. So usually sci-fi and fantasy.

Anything with an insufferable amount of navel-gazing, self-loathing, onanism, self-obsession, bad guitar playing, attention-seeking, excess alcohol, pages and pages about fashion, idiotic ‘males’, cracked mirrors, cracked egos and I’m a happy camper.
