Its so hard being vegetarian when you binge

Ok so I really wonna be a vegetarian but I also have binge eating disorder which makes it so hard because its like an addiction I cant controle! Even though I dont want to eat meat I do end up doing it dring the bing and im so mad at myself

I have gotten help for the binges but its stil hard, I need some alternative/creative advice to help!!!

What are you eating? If your vegetarian diet is so unsatisfying that you are binging on meat you need to find hearty vegetarian foods that you enjoy and that stick to your ribs. You shouldn’t feel constantly deprived as a vegetarian. I’ve been a vegetarian for 28 years and even I am tempted when I’m someplace where there is nothing vegetarian that is good to eat and everyone else is feasting on steak and seafood.

If you aren’t ready or don’t really want to be a vegetarian don’t worry about it. You have nothing to prove to anyone else. Perhaps you can try some vegetarian meals to find things you like and eventually you will have large enough a repertoire of foods that it will work out next time. You should eat what you want to eat. When you want to eat vegetarian that is when you should become one. You shouldn’t have to force yourself.

My advice is TRY NOT TO EAT WHILE WATCHING TV or doing anything else. Take your time when you eat, and try (if at all possible) to eat more slowly. You’ll enjoy your food more and make you more satisfied. Try to get in lots of fiber too, along with fresh fruits and vegetables. I am vegan- so I avoid all meat, eggs, and dairy. LOL I’m allergic to shellfish so that too! Since I’m vegan, I take a multivitamin to fill in any nutritional gaps- and it wouldn’t hurt for you to do the same. Good luck! =)
