How can I save battery life on my Samsung Fascinate?

i only use my phone to text and to check facebook every once in a while. it seems that my phones been dying quicker lately. and i just got it about a month and a half ago,

any advice?

Maybe yu should try to dim the lights on ur phone, or yu can lessin the proformance of the phone once its not on the charger

It’s the texting, text messaging puts a lot of mileage on a battery. I don’t know what that phone looks like, but if its a slider make sure the backlight doesn’t go on every time its slid open, that can drain it too. Play around with brightness settings, that might help a bit. That and adjusting the duration of the lights on it being on makes a difference. I know with my samsung phone that if I leave it open its set to keep the lights on, which drain the battery fast. It could be you have a defective battery too. Try letting it charge fully with the phone off, then when its done turn it on and use it regular. I don’t know what a decent amount of time for a phones battery to last doing text messaging and whatnot, cause I don’t do that stuff, but yeah if it seems to last a reasonable amount of time then just make sure its fully charged when it gets low.
