Is this the right way to pierce my cartilage?

I’ve been wanting to get my cartilage pierced but my parents are like omg thats so gay looking so they wont let me get it done by a professional. I was thinking about doing it myself ,but im not sure how to do it safely. my friend told me just to clean the needle and your ear with alchol and push it through the cartilege, then take it out and put the earing in, and clean it wiht alchol once or twice a day for like a month. if there is anything else that I need to do please tell me cauz I dont want to messs this up!!

DO NOT pierce it yourself. If you can’t get it done professionally, don’t get it done.

Using a needle is bad because it ISN’T sterile, even if you think it is, and it doesn’t take a piece of flesh out of your ear like a real piercing needle does. It will cause blunt force trauma to your ear, and you will probably get a nice infection.

Don’t do it yourself! that’s not good at all.

my friend did hers on her own.. and wow.. it came out really bad. it was ugly and her parents killed her.

your parents will find out if you do it on your own.. so why bother??

if you do it on your own.. then you should hold ice against your ear until it goes numb.. clean the needle.. make a mark on your ear to make sure it’s the right spot.. then shove the needle in.. quickly take it our and insert the earing.

I’m not saying you should do it.. but no one can really stop you.. so if you’re going to do it.. do it the right/safe way.

I hope I helped(:

yah, my sisters friends did hers and they shattered her cartilage i think. And its gonna take years to properly heal, so i don’t wanna like, mess myself up :s but at the same time, $65 to get it done!?
