Is an Australian hotel for homosexuals discrimination?

An Australian hotel catering for homosexuals has won the right to ban heterosexuals from its bars - Is this discrimination / intolerence and if not, why not ?

Answer #1

Note: Powers that be, changed the original question (in green) to read something other than the questioned asked….the question is heterosexual discrimination (being barred from the bar).

Answer #2

I wouldn’t call it discrimination. I think they’re just going a little too far with their homosexual theme.

Answer #3

And to note…if this hotel didn’t allow homosexuals…the world would shutter. (we can hope…seeing the way they handle this.)

Answer #4

To me I see that as discrimination against their sexual prefrence and it shouldnt be allowed anywhere. I cant remember where I heard something but it was kinda local from where I live and they said something about trying to come up with something or they did and now people can get suspended if they discriminate against others that are lesbian gay and bisexual and I really like that because im bisexual. This world needs to do more about people that like like the same gender theres nothing wrong with it and we are normal yet none of the world gets it.

Answer #5

Wow. I, am gay, and if they are trying to appeal to gay people, this is not the way to do it. To escape a world of prejudice, you do not separate yourself even further. By making a call such a trivial (or at all) on sexual reference is just sending th message that it is important. Sex is too important in the world today, and that is the only difference in homo, and heterosexuals. It’s very sad.
