Is the word p*ssy so bad in the USA

…that it has to be banned from this site?

I only ask as I live in Britain and the word is generally not seen as overly offensive to most.

I ask because using the word vagina when answering some questions on the ‘Love & Relationships’ section of this site makes the reply seem so medical and antiseptic.

I am not out to offend people but vagina does not always seem the right word to use in many cases and the word p*ssy does not appear overly offensive to me here in Britain.

I’m very happy to hear others views on this, especially from females as I suspect they would be the ones mainly offended if at all.

Is Fun Advice out of touch over the banning of this word?

Am I out of touch over the offensiveness of this word?

Are people in the US far more conservative when it comes to words such as this?

What sort of words do girls use that would not be deemed offensive? I would also be interested in comments from Advisors on this.
