Is stripping my hair bad?

I have dirty blonge hair and I got black highlights in my hair in august. mind you they look terrible because the hair stylst sucked, but anyways then I got highlights and then a week or two ago I went to cvs and bought blonde dye to do my hair w.. Well my hair didnt com out the way I wanted it to at all, so I made an appoitment to get my hair stripped of all the color next week and to get new blonde highlights. My hair has not really been silky or shiny but it is gunna frixxy and damneged. Any good tips on what to do to get it back to shape, and any tips on stripping my hair? whats gunna happen after that?

I went to the hairdressers and asked them to strip my hair for me after a really bad at home dye job (color on the packet was brown, but my hair went black) …

After they stripped it my hair was patchy and orangey.

My advice, let the color wash out naturally as much as you can, then go to a hairdressers and get them to dye your hair a good all over color.

Avoid stripping wherever possible, the color wont be nice, and nothing like your natural hair color at all!!

it should be fine just a little dry. my hair once ACTUALLY looked and felt like straw and it was after about 4 or 5 bleachings so you should be ok. even when my hair was like that all I needed to do to make it look ok was use a moisturizing shampoo and a DEEP conditioner (Aussie’s 3 minute miracle IS a miracle) then if you blow dry, curl or straighten your hair use a “laminating spray” (VO5 makes a good one) so you dont further damage your hair with heat :) good luck I hope your hair turns out FABULOUS!
