There’s no real way to tell, you should get an x ray just in case…

When I was younger, I broke my arm and refused to go see a doctor because I didnt realize that it was fractured… sometimes it really isnt all that obvious…

Usually with a fracture there will be swelling and often bruising, the extent of the swelling is dependent on how bad the fractue is. If it’s a green-stick fracture (a very small crack that only occurs with young people similar to what happens when you try to break a green stick from a young plant) then there will be minimal swelling but usually there will be some. The only way to tell for sure though is to have an x-ray. But honestly if it was badly broken to point where they actually put a cast on it then there would be a lot of swelling so if there isn’t any, then the doctors probably wouldn’t do anything anyway. Go out and buy a tubigrip (it’s a support bandage) to support it (although I personally don’t think they do that much to be honest). Take paracetemol and ibroprofen (you can take them together) and just try not to strain it for a few weeks. Hope this helps x
