Is it my fault!

Its this guy we have always been cool but it was never really like that, so recently he went to jail well actually about a yr. ago and I knew his cousin so one day I saw his cousin and asked what jail he was in so I could write him his cousin gave me the address and I have been writing him and we conversate on the phone very often, so now I have been recieving letters from him saying he wants me to be his and only his and that he is falling in love or better yet has fell in love with me! I guess my letters feel soothing and assuring Oh god! I don’t know what to do! When we talked on the phone I slipped up and said I love him when he told me because I always kinda had a crush on him anyways before he got locked up. But now I am awake and very scared I know its my fault and I really want to just be friends but he’s looking for much more and he’s locked up and facing 8 years!! Is it because he is vulnerable now which I don’t understand him and his baby mother stills communicate from time to time I don’t know how to get out of this. He has even told me that he doesn’t want me talking to any other guys and that I’m his I don’t want to hurt his feelings but right now I want OUT!! What should I do?!?!

You just have to be honest with him. Tell him how you feel about the whole situation, and apologize to him for telling him you love him. Explain everything that you are feeling to him. Write a letter, it’s much easier to get your feelings out writing then it is when you are talking on the phone with someone. Good luck doll.

I have no idea how to break up with someone, however, you cant just be with him out of pity… Also it really is just because he’s locked up and vulnerable… I doubt this would be happening if he was free to do whatever…
