Is cyber-sex cheating?

Is this talking online considered cheating? Or am I overreacting?

This guy I like/liked and have a past with still talks to me a lot even though he used me and lied to me while seeing other girls. He is in a brand new relationship now but she has JUST moved out of province for school so they cant see each other which is already bad for the start of a relationship. Im still here though and we have had some sexual conversations online with him ending it by telling me I should come hang out with him in his new place sometime. He even has been to some parties already this year where almost everyone was naked and he tells me how lonely he is in his new apartment. I dont think he’s told her though. It might not even be as serious as I make it to be, but he sounds he hasnt changed and might cheat on her.

Will his relationship with his girlfriend last? Am I right to question this odd behaviour?

I personally don’t think that ‘cyber sex’ is cheating… however, this isn’t cyber sex, he’s using it as a warm up act…

logically, honestly, why would you want to even consider meeting up with this guy when he treated you the way he did, while you were together? he obviously hasn’t changed, since he is with another girl, and believe me, you have NO idea what he tells her, and what he tell YOU he tells HER…

I consider cyber sex as asking the shop keeper what she thinks it will look like on me…(not that I have ever done it, it’s not my cup of tea) but he isn’t asking the shop keeper, he’s buying it to wear it to a party and going to retun it tomorrow (if you get my meaning)

stay well clear of him, don’t get involved with him or his new girlfriend…and the fact he is doing this behind her back, would make me very concerned that he had done it to me (of course he would completely deny it even if he had…

honestly, stay single for a while, don’t be in such a rush to be in a relationship, you have the whole of your life to do that, focus on your education and your friends…

He’s a scumbag. Neither you or his so-called girlfriend should be friends with him. He sounds like he’s just using girls for various sorts of sexual gratification.

You also seem like you care about his girlfriend and that he might hurt her by cheating on her. However, you are not helping by having sexual conversations with him.

its hard to say but mainly its very disrespectful …I mean…would you want to be with a guy who has cyber sex with other girls? didnt think so this guy doesnt sound liike a very respectful person to be with try to avoid talking to him in a sexual way, especially while he is taken
