Infected Tonuge Piercing?

I got my tonuge done 2 weeks 2day. I went back for a check up with my pericer and he said he can change the bar but he didnt beause he said my tongue is still a bit swollen. I though the swelling was gone but he said it was around the bar.

I rinse with mouth wash 2 times every day non-acholic but it has a small red ring around the top the the pericing and some times I get gunge comming out of the top. the bottom looks fine though. My tongue is not sore and it feels fine.

is it infected or is it the healing process??

I would say healing process. Keep ice in your mouth. Small pieces. Don’t suck on it hard though. I lightly sucked on ice for awhile after I got mine pierced and it never swelled or did anything weird.

I think it is a form of healing I had mine done when I was 15 and so did my best friend mine healed fine but hers had like purple spots on her tongue it lookd like mold but she didnt take it out she continued to wash with mouth wash and it went away.you shud try a mouth wash called dr.tichnors{spelling may be wrong}but its really stong you have to dilut it with water thts what I used it wrkd peerrrfect..good luck..
