infected or healing??

I just got my tongue peirced yesterday. im taking care of it using salt water and cepacaine to clean it but im really worried because although the swellings coming down my tongue is really white on top and at the bottom theres a whitish yellowish discharge and im wondering if its healing like some people have said or it already infected if so how can I take care of it better without having to take it outl? thanks.

well first off I’ve never heard of cepacaine but it is perfectly safe to clean peircings with sea salt and warm water as for your peircing you need to understand that its a wound and a wound doesnt heal in a day peircings take on average 3 months to heal not weeks, and anyone who says it takes like 1-2 weeks for a tounfge ring to heal is an idiot the sweeling will be there for around 3 days if its there for more than a week you need to go back or see a dcotor though and the white stuff just sounds like puss which is your bodys way of cleaning and disinfecting the area
