lately (haha mostly to impress my girlfriend) I've gotten into indy and alternative music, at first it was just to impress her but now I've found mmyslef addicted and I love it.
some of the bands (thank you mandyloo) I've gotten to know are: the shins the raconteurs the submarines the kooks the strokes bright eyes deathcab
and some bands I've discovered myself or through my girlfriend: Van she An horse Hungry kids from hungary
and many many more, She is thoroughly impressed by my effort of teaching her new indy bands, and calls me her 'music guru'
I love discovering new music so any indy or alternative or just plain rockin' bands you want to throw out there would be greatly appreciated.

Arctic monkeys the best indie band ever cant stress that enough kassabian the coral the enemy oasis they arent indie but if you like indie you will love oasis in my opinion anyway the last shadow puppets
