Improve at Lacrosse

I played my first year of lacrosse last year and loved it! How can I improve so that I’m not the weakest link on my team? Drills I can run by myself would be great.

Answer #1

throw against the wall, do lots of running. you’ll catch on quickly. do you use a hardball or softball? because hardball is way easier to learn.

as a rugby player… the best type of fitness is endurance, when you get hit, get back up and prove yourself to start off with. push-ups are good for upper body strenght and it improves your core musles, along with sit ups and the plank. With sit ups, DO NOT CLASP YOUR HANDS!!! as it will strain your neck and will give you problems. The plank is you lying on your front, with your for arms together infront of your and lifting yourself off of the floor with your legs together.

also shuttle runs are good for short burst of speed and for your flexability. Another point go X-country running as it will keep you fit, build up your endurance and will keep your ankles supple, which will keep injury at bay.

1 of my X’s was a Lax player and the best thing is just enjoy it, Lax isn’t like football where everyone will have a go at you if you do wrong, just enjoy the game and you will become better.

As the old saying goes, “practice make perfect” good luk.
