Implanon.

Has anybody ever had the birth control implanon{ an implant in your arm} and had weird side effects. I have it and its like making me break out on my chest which is disugsting but its the best bc for me right now. So any problems???

I haven’t had it, but it does have a lot more side effects than the normal birth control pill and the side effects of the implanon also varies GREATLY from woman to woman.

Here are some of the listed side effects under which ACNE is one of them.

Headache

Acne

Weight gain

Breast tenderness or pain

Irregular menstrual bleeding

Vaginal infections

Depressed mood

Decreased sex drive

Decreased appetite

Nervousness

Dizziness

Hot flushes

Hair loss or growth

Disturbances of the gut, eg abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea

Bruising at site of implant

Irritation, pain or itching at site of implant

Scarring or abscess at site of implant

Vaginal discharge

Migraine

Rise in blood pressure

Ovarian cysts

Have you even considered the possibility of maybe switching over to another form of birth control such as the depo povera shot, it might give you less side effects…but best to talk to your doctor about it.

depo stops your bone growth stuff and makes you gain a lot of weight im on implanon and so far im fine nothing unusual has happend so far im prety satisfied but with every birth control your side effects differ it depend on the person

yeah and that shot like decreases your bone density and it like increases again once you get it. but im having like 4 of those side effects.
