Im looking for a really dramatic, somewhat easy-to-play piano piece

I lost someone really close to me about a year and a half ago, and I really wanted to put my sorrow into a piano song. Im hoping it has lyrics. I played piano for about 2 years, but then quit, so it cant be anything too difficult, just basic. Thank you so much

I just thought of two more songs that may be what you want. Lindsay Quit Lollygagging(Acoustic) by Chiodos and Intensity in Ten Cities by Chiodos. theyre still not that complicated but they are a little trickier than the other two songs I said because its less of playing chords. Hope all this helps.

I can think of two songs that might be really good for that

Gary Jules’ rendition of Mad World is really good and pretty simple. its probably the more sad and haunting of the two. But my friend was able to learn it with only having a few years of piano and she stopped taking lessons a while ago.

Lose You by Pete Yorn might also be a good song. its less sorrowful than Mad World but it is also about loss and it isn’t that hard for piano

I hope this helps you. And I’m sorry for your loss.

It has to be Modest Musorgsy’s opening movement “Promenade” from his incredibly dramatic Pictures At An Exhibition that he wrote as a musical obituary for his friend - the artist Victor Hartmann after his death. . Promenade is not too demanding to play on the piano and it links most of the other movements that are much more demanding to play. . All in all, the whole suite is one of the most moving pieces of music I can imagine and will always be the perfect piano tribute to a departed friend. . You can get a reasonably easy piano score for Promenade as a .pdf file from: . http://funadvice.com/r/1524dm8375h . Here is the virtuoso Evgeny Kissin performing the first 10 minutes of the whole opus opening with the aforementioned “Promenade”. .

– Best wishes - Majikthise. .

Bravo - Stunning Performance.

Answer #5

how about ‘A Whole New World’ from ‘The Magic Of Disney’ big note piano book

Answer #6

Polonaise in C minor - Op 40 No. 2 by Chopin is a good dramatic piano piece. Not sure if modern music teachers are still teaching students the classics. But you must try it, it’s really good to listen to.
