Answer #1

not really but it can inprove!!! if this is what you mean by Mental my sis is autistic and when we first adopted her she was AWFUL… she hit herself and screamed and had tantrums and learning dissabilities she hit other people and everything!!! now which is 9 years l8r she doesnt hit other people her tantrums have gont away and she has not been hitting herdelf as much. she does scream but not as loud and only for appropreate reasons like when she’s mad and fustrated and sad… as for her learning disability she is 12 and at a kindergarten level in math and 2nd grade reading and she is normal in her activities like bike riding and ect… that is a big diff compared to wht she had when we first adopted her. she had NO language NO reasorses NO understanding.and she was 3 years old!!! her communications are at a low level. she is deaf but we have taought her signlanguage and she is excellent!!!

Answer #4

You cannot really outgrow mental illness but you can overcome it. Ell used to be really messed up in reading. Like she couldn’t read at all in kindergarten and first grade because she has dyslexic type dysgraphia or something like that, but she tried really hard and now she’s an english major in college. By the third grade her reading level was advanced. The dysgraphia mostly messed up her ability to write though, and she never really fixed it ever, she can write but you can’t read it and it’s all muffed up. So she just got a computer. If you’re talking about other mental illnesses, such as depression or anxiety or different things, then they definately don’t go away although like ty said depression is a wavering thing. There are always things you can do to get yourself out of some things. Find hobbies like instruments, gardening, exercising (the best because it releases endorphins) or something like that. Good Luck, Brian D.
