if you were a parent what would you say...

If your child met a boy online at the age of 15 and they mentioned that they known each other for five years?

I posted a question like this but never built up the courage to tell my parents. I really don’t know how to tell them and I’m afraid of what they are going to think. Like do I just say,” I met this boy online and we are really good friends…we want to meet but he lives across the country.” My Mom has walked in on my about four times when I was on the phone with him but I always lied and said it was one of my girlfriends. So how should I tell them?

Answer #1

well first I think you need to gather evidence that this person is actually real and not just some freak that’s gonna violate you in any way when you meet him. if you’ve known eachother for so long then it shouldn’t be that hard to prove it. when your done with that the rest should be easier for your parents to cope with

Answer #2

I don’t think you should meet young boys online… however just tell them openly and ask your parents what they think..because it’s good that you want to tell them.
