No. First you have to have your security set on your wireless connection. (Someone else will have to tell you how. It has to do with WAP or something. If you don’t, a neighbor or drive by can piggy-back on your signal, or even get into your system.) You should also run a two-way firewall. There are a number of free ones - such as Zone Alarm.

And if you run a p2p program, get Peer Guardian. Good Luck!! Also you should periodically run anti-spyware. ‘Spybot: Search and Destroy’, ‘Ad-Aware’, and ‘Spy Blaster’ are all pretty good, and all have free versions. You can get and run all three periodically. Or you can purchase one to run in the background. (I don’t like to have things running in the background as it slows my computer!)
