I Want To Be A Ice Skater...

I really would love to have private ice skating lessons and be so good I could compete in competions.But I have a number of problems. The nearest rink is about 45 mins away and in a rough area so my parents wont take me but wont let me go on my own either.None of my friends like skating so I couldnt go with them. Its very expensive. My parents dont want me to. I dont think that I would skate for a living as I have other ambitions too but it would be a awesome hobby.I’ve been to a rink before but its only open in winter for about 5 months.My mum and dad know that im good and im sure with practise I could become better with like jumps.Please help.Should I have to give up my dream? Thanks! :) Ps.Where could I get skates from and outfits?I live in the UK?Has anyone bought them online and did they arrive okay?

buy cheap skates at a local departmental store and skate at a pond during the winter with a chair itll help
