Will my hair get damaged if I dye it over the salon's?

I have medium brown hair, and i just went to the salon about 2 weeks ago to get it done chocolate brown, with carmal highlights. In t he beginning i wanted it black in the first place but then my mom convinced me not to. I liked my hair when i first got it done, but now im still wanting black again or at least very dark brown. I wanted to get my own dye at the astore and have my mom do it for me but since i just got it done will it damage my hair because i already got it colered.?

If you are wanting to go to a darker color than what you have now, no, it will NOT damage your hair. You will be depositing color onto color. You can deposit color on top of color 20 times a day every day and it will not damage your hair. It may look really funny, though. It is only when you are going to lighter colors that you get into damage. This is very important; whatever you buy at the store since you are not going to a salon, make sure the DEVELOPER is not more than 10 volume. 5 or 10 will be fine. Anything higher than 10 volume WILL start to damage your hair some because 20 volume and above begin to first strip some color and then deposit. Any more questions you have, just ask.
