wow! thats going to take quite some time to heal so in the mean time you need to be patient!! this is going to suck too but the longer you stay imobile the more your muscles will wear down but it doesnt look like you can move, so you need to rest and when you feel up to it you can flex, say your ankles a bit and practice tightening your muscles as for stuff to do I would say internet, television, reading, and anything verbal there are TONS! of movies you can watch, you could also maybe play a game on a consol if you can have it in there. something that doesent reqire quick movements… mario64 on nintendo 64 would keep you entertained!! I dont know what else I can add…hmm you can learn some things get someone to get you a health mag or even the world guiness book of records or something! and you could learn about different things… I hope all that helped a bit!

I am one of (hopefully) the few who knows what you are going thru. I sent you a funmail, I hope you get it. Holler at me and I’ll give you and your mom some good tips.

Answer #3

Oh my god, what happened?! That sucks!

This is the perfect time for you to download and play World of Warcraft. It’s SUPER addictive and can make hours pass really fast, plus you just need a few fingers to attack!

Answer #4

You are. You are very broken. Are you asking what to do about it? Start taking a mental inventory of everything you took for granted when you were not broken.

Answer #5

SLOWLY lol with my left hand, but I cannot do anything!, I feel trapped

Answer #6

You can still type!

Answer #7

Wow! I hope you get better soon!!

It surely puts my stupid tendinitis in my right shoulder in perspective. Know what will help you dude? Audio-books from Audible.com!

Try to ask your parents/friends to get you a subscription and ask them to get you a few books that you can listen and get yourself lost in with an ipod.

There are tons of free podcasts that you can listen to as well for all kinds of topics. I recommend subscribing to Joe Frank on iTunes. He’s awesome and cerebral.

Your main problem is being bored and in pain, so you need stuff to take your mind off that right now. I hope my suggestions will help.

that is fantastic dude. I am thrilled to hear that after all you have been through that you are still kicking it. Nerd was right when they stated “start taking a mental inventory of everything you took for grantid when you were not broken.” It was very wise because when you are able to get up and go, dress yourself, feed yourself, walk, and even wrap your arms around someone you love you do not think about the processes your body takes to be able to do these individual things. I was in a car crash and got bad whiplash, broken ribs and nerve damage down my left arm into my fingers. I am left handed. I couldnt write, My girlfriend had to dress me, and I felt so helpless . if I didnt go through all of that, I would never had known just how much she was there for me. When I lost my job due to the crash my parents came out to visit me so much, supported me financially and gave me moral and mental support. My parents and I are closer then ever because of that tragic incident. I only hope that you have seen that with your mother as well.
