I've had tonsillitis at least once every year since forever and I've got it right now and I hate it! They cause so many problems for me so I want them out. And preferably on the NHS. So does anyone know how often you have to have it to get them out?
Repeatidly getting strep throat and severely swollan glands is also a reason why they would remove them. It varies from doctor to doctor though, some might schedule you a surgery after only a couple of times getting sick and some may wait longer. If they are really bothering you and you keep having problems you can always ask your doctor or get a second opinion.
You don't have to have it at all to get yours removed. I had mine removed as a small child because my mother decided to get it done. Just ask your doctor. Certainly getting tonsillitis is a good enough reason.
I Got my tonsils out and i had tonsillitis 8 times in 1 year for 2 years and then finally they let me get them removed but it depends how bad ur tonsillitis is
Well, as a child, I had a tough time breathing. They removed my tonsils and adenoids, and it helped a lot.
Then surely there was some other reason why you needed them out..? What was it?
I had mine removed, and I never had tonsillitis.
