I still love my ex-boyfriend after 4 months

he dumped me out of the blue and when he dumped me I heard like he was going to cry when he did it like it wasnt his choice and then about four months after I hear from one of his friends who is also mine that he misses me and he knows he was wrong for dumping me and the real reason for dumping me was becasue his stepdad said it was the best thing for him to do but now I I dont know whats going on with him. is he regreting dumping me and lieing to me saying it was his choice and my fault? or what?
