Where do punjabi people originally come from?

Hi I am a punjabi from india and I am just wondering where do punjabi people come from and what are our orgins because I have done some reaserch and have found that we are indo-aryans who come from south europe throug iran,iraq and afgeanistan? I am just wondering if you guys can give more help on this topic. Thanks for reading and I hope you answer my QUestion.

Here is what I found from Wikipedia:

The Punjabi people (Punjabi: ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, پنجابی, also Panjabi people) are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group from South Asia.
