I need help with these fleas

my son found a kitten in the wall of a house he was doing some work on, it was skin and bones and covered in fleas. We have been feeding it with a bottle and kitten formula. But we cant seem to get rid of the fleas, can anyone tell me how to ?:

Answer #1

Fleas lay lots of eggs that can still be around later to hatch, so you may have to repeat. ALSO … fleas will infest the kittens bedding, and everything else nearby, so that will have to be treated also. Good Luck!! And good for you and your son for rescuing that kitten!!!

Also, bathing in Dawn detergent, will kill adult fleas…but the kitten has to be kept warm after a bath…

Yup for a kitten small enough to need bottlefeeding, I’d suggest a flea comb. Commercial flea sprays and topical ointments are too strong with chemicals. A simple flea comb, dipped in rubbing alcohol, should do it.

At 12 weeks, he can have topical Frontline.
