Condoms do break/ tear and I can vouch for that… Particularly if the size is wrong, etc. I think I answered this same question earlier. The pill does cause irregularity with your period. It can interfere with its intervals and its composition, but yes by all means use pregnancy tests. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
Having sex within period is absolutely safe. Don’t worry.
