I’m in love with him, and he’s leaving for college.

I’m 16 years old, and I’m in love for the first time. It is wonderful, not only is he my boyfriend, but also my best friend. We are in an extremely healthy relationship. And we both get along nicely with each others friends Although, he leaves for college in less than a month, and a long distance relationship just seems too far out of the question. As badly as I want to be with him, I don’t want the both of us to miss out on what our youth years have to offer. And I’m sure we will stay in touch …but living so far apart, I’m sure we will grow apart. His family is also moving out of state, so this wont be known as home to him anymore. I’m just looking for a little advice as how to handle all the emotions, and how to keep myself together after he leaves, and id also like to hear from people who have gone through similar situations. I would greatly appreciate the responses. Thanks

Well, if the both of you both agree that the distance would become an issue then maybe it is best to possibly break it off. But me and my bf have been dating for 16 months behinf my mothers back. He met me when I was 16 and he said he would still see me, but wait till I was 18. He kept his promise! We barely saw eachother and it was rare that we could even spend a whole day together. But the wait was we’ll worth it. So in a sense with that being said, is there a possibility that you can still be together if you really love eachother?
