I'm getting my top ear pierced today, does it hurt?

I’m gettin my top ear pierced today !! does it hurt? I already have my nose pierced & that didn’t hurt like outta a 1-10 how much does it hurt ?? (1-bein nothin, 10-omggg)

it’s doesn’t hurt at all to be honest. I would say maybe a 3 out of ten. and thats if you have an average pain threshold. the only part that hurts is breaking through the skin, then you hear - liturally a pop - and it’s done. like the commentor before - keep your hair away from it for the first four days or so. cause it deffinatly hurts when it’s sore and the hair gets tangled in it. I did mine myself - just make sure you clean it everyday. it can get infected really fast because of the dirts and oils that come out of your hair when you wash it. just put a little rubbing alchool on it and spin the earring. this will sting a little - but it’s a lot better then a swollen, red, sore ear due to infection.

dont get both sides done at the same time. sleeping is extremely hard if you do so, because putting pressure of a new piercing in general hurts but especially your cartilage. for me it hurt about a 4 or 5 I’d say the piercing itself didn’t hurt really it was healing and sleeping that hurt most. it takes a long time to heal also

I got mine done with a peircing gun on both sides and it was fine

Of course it will hurt a little bit, it’s a needle going through a part of your head. (I’m aware you said ears) Even though the ear is full of cartilage it still hurts, just not very bad. Not as bad as a shot, or waxing your eyebrows or something like that. I think it hurts everyone, but people say it doesn’t because they don’t want to seem like a wimp. Anyway, I’d give it a four-six. So around the middle there. :) Don’t worry, it’s VERY quick. If you’re getting two ears pierced though, I recommend getting them done at the same time so you don’t chicken out or something.

I am 11 and my mum said I can get my top ear pierced at the end of the year like october but I keep arguing and asking it to be sooner what should I do?
