Is it normal to be sad when I'm adopted?

Ok so I’m adoupted from Russia but its so hard to be able to connect to my adoupted family and I always feel like my parents now love their biological child more. Weird I know. The thing is since I’m adoupted from russia I probley will never see my parents again and it kinda makes me depressed, well not depressed just sad. Is everything I’m feeling normal??

Answer #1

Sure it’s normal - it’ll help to reflect on the blessings you have now and the fine person you’ve turned out to be…I wish you the best !!

Answer #2

I think so im adopted from my stepdad but I’ve neva met my bio father and feel kinda sad that I probably wont c him because my stepdad wont let me

Answer #3

My father told me that parents don’t have a set amount of love that they divide every time a new child comes into the family. A parent’s capacity to love doubles every time a new child comes into the family. Your parents went through hell to have you. I bet they dreamed of the day they got to meet you and hold you. I can’t imagine how they could love you less than you brother or sister. Talk to your parents about how you feel. They can probably arrange some counciling to help you cope with your sadness. It sounds perfectly normal and justified.

Answer #4

Ya it is good luck with your life

Answer #5

I THINK IS NORMAL THAT YOU FEEL THAT WAY I AM SURE YOUR PARENTS LOVE YOU. I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT MY PARENTS LOVE MY BROTHER MORE BUT I AM SURE ITS EQUAL SHARED LOVE! LOVE YOUR FAMILY I AM SURE THEY LOVE YOU!
