Why do people think Americans are talentless?

cause they think cause we are a well established country we have errthing at our feet when they have to work for it. but ehh their dumb totalyy not true I love japan tho ma ansestors are from their.

ofcourse america is full of talent. Growing up ina diffrent counrty will cause people to have different thoughts about foreing countries… I also agree with sikashimmer ^.^

America has a lot of great punk, rock and alternative. a lot of my favourite bands are american, so whoever said that is just infatuated with their own country.

Don’t take offense to it. It’s a generalized, stereotypical statement about another culture. (I mean face it… American music hasn’t been that great lately. Britney Spears anyone?)

It’s like saying all Brits have bad teeth or all Japanese are short. Obviously not EVERYONE is like that, It’s a stereotype.

Hi - As a British citizen living in France, I’ve heard people complain about things, but I NEVER heard it said that Americans are talentless! It would be a bit stupid, given that we listen to your music and watch your films etc - we wouldn’t watch your stuff it it wasn’t worth watching! The USA is a big, diverse country, and I’m always delighted by the range of talent from your musicians and the film industry - like any country, there are some better performers and some worse, but no talent? Ludicrous.
