Is pregnancy causing my brown discharge?

Are you on the pill or have you been? If you have missed a period due to taking the pill through it or for any other reasons , you can get brown discharge. This is basically just old blood and usually just passes.

Hi, right now I am going through the same thing. I think that you could be pregnant and not know it. I would take a pregnancy test to confirm your pregnancy. With my first son I have had alot of brownish discharge and soreness, so you can be pregnant.

im not quiet sure but to be safe go see your doctor and tell him the symptoms you are experiencing and he will be able to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.

Hi im pregnant it was a shock to find out as been so careful but me and my partner against all odds are very happy but cautious im 20 and hes 24. with my 2nd pregnacy I was abnout 11 wks I had a brownish disharge but only when I wiped the doctors told me not to worry and 2 days later I had a miscarriage that nearly killed me! I advise anyone who is pregnant or thinks they are and is havind any kind of discharge to call an ambulance!

1. Spotting brown blood is an indication of old, dry blood that is for some reason in the cervix. The most common reason is if you have intercourse and irritation of the cervix causes a little tear. Not enough that it comes flowing out, but like when you urinate or you wipe, you might see it on the tissue. Unless you are passing bright red blood and clots, brown spotting is pretty harmless.

2.Brown spotting is pretty normal in early pregnancy. One reason for this type of spotting is called implantation bleeding. This occurs approx. 2 weeks after conception and 4 weeks since your last period. Another reason this could be happening is your body could be releasing old blood. Neither of these reasons are cause for concern.

But the bottom line is, as long as there is no pain or severe cramping, it’s considered to be ok. Oh, and itchy, discomfort and any types of sores or rash that accompany discharge, make an appointment with the doctor.

I call my doctor almost everday and then keep reassuring me that it is normal but that is due to the fact that I was pregnant with twins and miscarried one. they say that it is old blood and it could continue until I give birth to my surviving twin that is doing well. you should check with your doctor if you’re feeling uneasay about anything…that is what they are there for

you get that brownish colour just before your period! thats prob what causing da cramps! dont stress, its only takes longer to get your period when you stress!

hello. if you got the brown discharge after your period and it only lasted a couple of days its because you were coming off your period. if a a boy has came inside you and you then get that a few days after, this may be signs of an ectopic pregnancy, it may not be so don’t worry, just go see your local doctor, and ask him/her about it. they’ll give you the best advice possible.

Or…its a lost object, such as a tampon because this will cause all those symptoms depending on how long it has been there! does it smell too cause I think thats what it is

hi there I was on the patch for 2 years I went off recently amonth ago dec27th/09 to try too have a baby this year . I was told that a period may not show up to 3 month too a year. I was expecting a period not too show, around jan26 and 27th 2010 had a globs of pinkish mucus and the 28th had brown bleeding only when I wipe. I am not sure if this a sign of a period or implantion of pragnacy. if a period is coming thats quick that means I am on a roll of releasing a egg to be fertilzed yahhh !!!

go see a doctor brownish discharges are very bad signs…the discharge should be clear to abit hazzy…any bad smell could also mean you have an STD…so its best to go check with a doc

Hi, I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and have had brown discharge on and off for roughly 3 days now I was passing very small brown clots but only when I wiped, I got sent to the Accident and Emergency room as they deal with all pregnancy cases under 12 weeks. I went in gave a urine sample they checked all of the blood pressure etc they told me I am still pregnant and everything is fine it is probably just a thing called “PV DISCHARGE” sounds rubbish but ever since they told me I have to rest and relax! she even felt my stomach and everything is fine! go for an early scan on Monday to double check fingers crossed but don’t listen to the people that say oh yes it is a definate miscarriage because I had a miscarriage 2007 and remember it clearly and it doesn’t start with brown blood it is light pink then bright red and in pain up your back and stomach if you are worried go straight to your doctors hope this is any help to all of you worrying

Dude, foreign objects or lost objects, would produce a BLACK discharge.. and there would be pain…and an incredibly bad odor.

a light brown discharge can be so many different things. If it is a darker brown..with a pastey like texture, and you are experiencing itching..and burning, it is likely to be an STD. Trichomonas can cause those symptoms. if it is Light brown however, it could be anything from a UTI to pregnancy. You would be much better off making an appointment with your GYN, instead of listening to strangers on a message board :-] As helpful as these can be, never take anything on them as a professional diagnosis.

hi there u may be, but if your discharge is brown consult your doctor because there could be somthing wrong,your discharge should be a clear possibly white looking color,it should not be brown,brown could mean bleeding which may mean you have had a miscarrage and the baby is stuck in your tube. to be safe consult your doctor immediatly.
