Why do I have a brown discharge, I had sex a week or so ago?

I thought it was my period but I went to the washroom and it was a brown goopy discharge. I feel bloated. Am I pregnant or just freaking myself out?

There are a number of things that can cause your discharge including implantation of a fertilized egg as well as infection. Whenever you have sex you have a chance of pregnancy. This chance is reduced when using a contraceptive but is not completely gone. Hopefully you were using some form of contraceptive. Also, if you use anything other than a condom you have a chance of catching an STD. Your discharge can also be a random occurrence. At this point your only option is to wait for your period; if it is late you can purchase a hpt and check your status. If you have your period and afterwards the discharge continues, you should contact your physician and make an appointment as the discharge may be a sign of infection or something more serious.

I think you are just freaking yourself out.. if it doesn’t go away by next period.. I would get it checked out.. you should be perfectly ok tho

I used a condom. and my period isnt always on time. so im not sure when im suppose to get it.
