hello everybody online I was wondering my father was recently diagnosed with p-d (parkinsons disease) is there anything I can do to help I feel bad the doc said its from doing to much acid in his teenage years but he stoped if there is any advice plzz let me no ?!

Answer #1

I take care of a man w/ parkinson’s. He is extremely accepting of it now. Things will probably be hard at first but as soon as it becomes a normal thing he’ll accept it a lot more. The man I take care of has it really bad where he is contantly making huge motions with his hands and feet. He jokes around and says things like , “well if I could just stop kicking this table, we could get a move on” or “well if I could just hold the newspaper still maybe I could read the scores from the game”. There is probably nothing you can say or do to make your dad feel better. All you can do is support him and be there for anything that he needs. I hope this helped =)

just support him and be therefor him. tell him that if he needs anything you are here. and you love him

good luck
