I don't like his character so why do I still want to be with him?

I went out with this guy not for very long so I didn’t get a chance to get to know him very well but the little bit that I did get to know him I realised he’s not a type of guy I would expect to like. He showed me he was very controlling, stubborn, selfish, rather cold, hardly smiles and is happy (whereas I am a very smily and enthusiastic person), and no where near a gentleman. I know that last one is hard to find. Anyway lately I’ve been running into him quite a bit and I noticed I sort of want to be with him or something but I don’t like him so why do I want do be with him? I deleted his phone number off my phone and all msgs we ever sent to each other. Pictures we never took. Furthermore he only hangs out at this one club that my friends also like to go to but I said I would like to take a break from going there so that I don’t run into him again for a while and also because I’m borred of going there all the time. Is that a good idea? Anybody else have any other suggestions? Please tell me.

its a challenge for you. You want to see if you can get him to like you enough to change and show you affection and that he likes you. if your sexually active just do him a few times, get it over with and move on…LOL

Can someone give me better advice than what was told to me above please because we weren’t sexually active, we never even kissed. I may have given him 2 kisses on the cheeks once or twice I think when he brought me home when saying goodbye like we do with my friends then I had a feeling he didn’t like it so I never did it again. When I say we didn’t go out for very long I mean we went out for a month as friends mostly just getting to know each other and then he asked me to make it serious but after 2 weeks he broke up with me. I want stop thinking about him that’s all.
