I don't know what to do - weight.

For the past like year or so I’ve got progressively worse but in the past 2 months its been really bad tbh.

I started off feeling really fat and gross (I was about 107lbs and 5’1) so I cut down on junk food and that and lost 3 or 4 lbs and for a while I was alright. But then in summer last year I started going to the gym every single day, watching what I ate, and lost another 3 to 4 lbs and got myself to about 100lbs.

It’s getting really bad, and in oct/nov 08 I reduced my calorie intake to around 1400 a day, and then in december I decided I wasnt doing enough so limited myself to 1000 a day and I’m still doing it now.

I’m 92lbs now and still 5’1. I don’t know what my bmi is, but my dad commented on my eating habits and that I’m not eating much and losing weight, but I can’t talk to him or my mum about it because im just not close enough to them.

I don’t know what to do, I dont want to go on like this. I don’t want to end up skeletal, but I can’t stop myself counting calories and restricting my food intake. I think that I’m fat but sometimes when I look in the mirror I can see I’m going too far but I still can’t stop.

I don’t know what to do!

Is there someone else you can talk to? Babe, it’s called anorexia. It is an eating disorder and it needs to be treated. The longer you go without talking about it and telling someone that you need help, the worse the problem is going to get. If anorexia goes untreated it can become fatal, meaning it could result in death. However, if you get help I know you can work through this and beat the anorexia.

Okay, what you have here is the beginnings of an eating disorder stemming from self-esteem. You are 6 pounds UNDER weight. Bring your calorie count back up to around 2000. You are the one in control. You don’t have to have your ribs sticking out to be attractive. What’s on TV and in the magazine’s is FAKE, and not what real men want. You should not be judging yourself by Jessica Alba.

Don’t eat junk food, but eat healthy, properly portioned meals. Almost everything you eat has a portion size. Follow it.

You’ll be okay, you just have to put the brakes on this behavior now, or it’s going to get serious and you’re going to end up with anorexia.

I would highly recommend talking to a parent. They are on your side and can help make you eat.

Even though you are not really close to your family you should still talk to them. If you decide not to then you should really go see a councelor or some other person at your school or if you work you could ask a fellow employ.
