Does it hurt to get your blood drawn?

No not really. but be aware sometimes the doc or nurse can’t find ur vein or something. Last time i went to get my blood drawn they messed up and poked me like 8 times and finally got my blood out.

I have had blood taken many times, and each time a nurse has taken it, it hurt so much I screamed my head off! They obviously do not know the correct method of taking blood as, one time a Doctor took the blood. He did it properly and I didn’t feel a thing.

Me it does, & I’m terrified of needles, so that makes it a whole lot worse. I always faint after them

No, however if you are scared of needles or they poke you with the needle more than one time because they cannot find veins then it can hurt, but if someone does it properly it shouldn’t hurt.

It really depends on the person some say yes some no. For me needles don’t really hurt me idk if it’s just cause it’s easy to find my veins. But when ever I get my blood drawn I don’t like to look the blood kinda grosses me out alittle.

Not unless the person cant find the vein. Its never hurt for me.

No I used to donate blood. It’s not painful if the person who does as long as knows what they are doing. If it hurts more than a little bit where the needle stitches, then they are dilettante.

Go in very hydrated and it helps with whoever is drawing the blood. Makes it much easier to find the vein.

when they first put in the needle it hurts, but then it doesn’t hurt, it feels weird, and you can feel your warm blood. when they take out the neddle it hurts a little .
