How to tell the difference between "cool" and a "geek"?

I like this guy, but I can’t tell if he’s actually extremely dorky to everyone else but me. like I generally look for the good in people, but I think maybe I overlook what would actually make him a stereotypical geek. What are some signs that everyone else would look for that would make him a stereotypical geek?

dont judge him on what other people think that dosn’t matter all that matters is if you like him dont care what your friends have to say most of them are just jelous or thinking that your making a mistake. If you like him then all I selteled.

hes good with computers doesnt socialize much and wear suspenders/tucks his t-shirt in and wears glasses? but even if soemone does all these things, even that doesnt autimatically make them a geek
