How to teach my daughter piano?

if I were you I wouldnt start her until shes about 7 or 8. take her to a professional teacher as playing the piano has some techniques that can be easily done wrong and then are very hard to correct in the future.

my mother is a pianist and also teaches about 30 students, she finds it very hard to correct bad habits from students that have either been to a bad teacher or have had lessons from brothers/ sisters and havent been taught properly. these children dont usually go on to playing concerts etc because their hand position and posture is bad so they cant play properly.

what you are best off doing is writing the note on the keyboard/piano for her use a rubbable marker pen. and then push them going cdefgabc… this way see with learn the scale also if you read music write the letters under the notes for her if they are on the keyboard she will be able to recognise which note goes where and will start in time to put the note with the letter. just takes practise!! I play music and have done for many years if you need any other advice please just ask. hope this makes sence and helps! :)
