How to quit cursing so much?

To stop myself cussing, I used a swear jar: I put 50 cents in it every time I cussed. Also, I read a book recently, whoch says if you swear for every little thing, then you won’t have a word to say when the big things come around. That helped me too. Hope it helps you, because cussing is a horrid habit. I haven’t fully stopped now, because once you’ve learned the words, you can’t unlearn them, but I have cut down more than 3 quarters. Britz. For me, it’s a case of knowing when it’s appropriate. I trained as a primary/elementary school teacher, so every time I walk into a classroom environment, my brain automatically flicks a switch and my language changes.

I found it’s good to have a substitute for a swear word. Like, when you find yourself about to say “fk”, replace it with some ridiculous phrase like “fudge brownies”, or st gets replaced with “shifting sands”.

It’s really hard to change a second-nature habit, and it’s admirable that you’re trying. Best of luck! :)

make up a new word for every cuss word. fk=fudge as=butt or abs if you want lol bh=biscuit (and to finish that off say biscuit head. haha) get the point?

oh btw I have a group on a social site called “quit cussing, it doesn’t make you look cool, it makes you look trashy.”

no offense at all, it’s mainly talking about the people who definately curse on purpose and make jokes about it.
