How to make oven fries extra crispy?

I absolutely love chunky oven fries. Only problem is, Whenever I cook them, they’re always too soggy in the middle, and nearly burnt at the ends. I don’t buy the really oily ones because I get a really upset stomach from the amount of oil used in them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make them crispy without using extra oil or butter?

Answer #1

Deep fry with canola oil or E.V.O.O, and then drop the fries in a bowl lined with paper towels to syphon the oil out.

Oh the tastey.

Answer #2

Thanks for the responses guys- I don’t tend to deep fry (again, the oil and grease make me really ill), but all suggestions were great, and I’ll take them on board.

Mmm… I just love oven fries!!!

Answer #3

Try turning the heat down a lttle, and cooking them for longer. I think I remember doing them at 425 for 12 mins. Try 375 at 20 mins? Check up on them after 15 mins.

Answer #4

You could deep fry them, but for a healthier alternative, just leave them in the oven a lot longer.. good luck! :]

Answer #5

The Fries HAVE to be frozen. and you have to put them at 350. For like 15 to 20 minutes

Answer #6

I read that if you cook them in a toaster oven that they come out more chrispy.

Answer #7

ALL you HAVE TO DO IS KEEP THE FRIES IN FOR AN EXTRA 5 TO 10 MINS

Answer #8
