how to make hair dye less vibrant?

I’m dying my hair red tomorrow and the dye I’ve got is really bright red. If I leave it in for less time than directed will it be less vibrant, and or less bright? What else could I do to kind of dilute the colour?

if you take it of a bit earler than your saposter it will be a bit darker =] hope my advise helps need eney more mail me as im a hairdresser x

heyaa leave take the dye of a little earler and it shood be a bit less vibrant =] x
