how to love god?

God says in his word, If you love me, you will obey me.

We come to him in faith, believing that he is.

We seek him with all our hearts.

When we find him, we love him and serve him.

We learn of him, and gradually grow in our knowledge of him.

We learn his ways, and we comprehend his awesome character.

We take on his spirit, and find out what it means to be led by him.

We take on his attributes, such as forgiveness, mercy and grace.

We delight in his ways.

We love his people.

We love the unlovely.

We gain our strength from him.

We constantly look to him, for the comfort and guidance that we need, as well as the forgiveness.

As we grow in our knowledge of him, we long to be in his presence.

We desire to be where he is, and to see him move, in the hearts of men and women.

We desire to know his word, and to understand it, in the right spirit.

We grow, from faith, to faith.

pray to him, talk to him and surrender yourself to him.. talk to him just like what you do wit your frnds… confess to him your sins like that..

I agree. Read the bible to get to know who God is and what his purpose was/is. Then talk to him through prayer and try your best to be a good person. But the make the mistake and asking for things like money, fame, and things. Praying to God is more of a one way dialogue in which he listens to you but you should not expect miracles to happen. True faith is still believing and still praying to God when things go wrong. Personally, I feel that our lives our in our hands. So whether we win the lotto or lose our job, it is us or society who made that happen, not God. Try to follow the commandements and continue to pray to God in the good and bad times.

basically you give your all to God. no one or nothing comes before him. you live by his word and he is your best friend

How to give your life to Christ:

1. Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness.

2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

3. Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life - you can pray something like this:

Father, I know that I am a sinner and cannot obtain salvation in and of myself. I come to you in the name of Jesus asking that you forgive me of my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness and guilt. I trust and believe that Jesus died and rose again to pay my sin penalty. I accept this free gift of salvation, and from this day forward, turn my life completely over to the Lord. I thank you and praise you God for giving me a new life in Christ. Amen.
