How to get red kool-aid out of hair?

My 15 year old daughter tried to dye her hair with red Kool-Aide. It’s been approximately 10 months of being less than a desired outcome, we tried everything but cutting it off. Please tell me how to get the red Kool-Aide out of her hair without bleaching or damaging. Her true color hair color is, Dirty Blonde. If the only option is to color/lighten, then she would like to take away the dirty from dirty blonde.

go to a hairdresser, they would give you the best advice.

Answer #2

I dyed my hair with red Kool-aid about 4 to 5 months ago. Due to the fact that she had a different hair texture and different hair color from mine, the process of growing out the red hair would be a lot longer. I have a bit of red on the ends but you can barely see it. I suggest you just let her grow it out before you panic and do something to affect her hair long term. Bleaching & coloring chemically will mess up the texture and color of her hair period. You could try herbal coloring, which is a natural way to dye hair. Coffee, tea, and lemon juice are natural ways she can dye her hair without weird colors as a result.
