How to get deeper into Gods word

Hello. I am glad to hear that you are seeking to please God. You already have the desire to get close to Him, so that is a big plus. You must feed yourself HIs word on a daily basis, just like you must shower, brush your teeth, and eat on a daily basis, it is so vital that you feed your soul the word. You must understand the Old Testament does not pertain to us any more. It is a good study of creation, history and has some ex. of what not to do. The new Testament is the New Pact, we are the continuation of it. cool huh? Keep in mind that although, the NT starts in Matthew, it really does not start until Acts. Jesus, had not died and risen until then, so tech, the people were living under mercy and not grace as we are now. GRACE is the opportunity that God gives us to live in Holiness. For whatever reason you are not able to go to church, then seek God at home on a daily basis, read the word, let it become alive in you. Pray to Him, and ask Him for direction for your life. First of all you must repent if you have not, ask Him into your life, and to forgive you of your sins. The Bible says that no one can go unto the father except through Jesus Christ. So you first have to recognize that God sent His one and only Son to pay the price of our freedom from sin and death. It is through Jesus, that we are connected to God, we are thankful to Jesus, and pray in his name, but we pray to God. Some people are all over the place and do not know who to pray to. All I know is that He sees your heart and if you desire to serve Him, love and obey Him, then you will. It is important to find Christian friends and people that you know can give you the correct advice. Whay are you not able to attend a church, may I ask? well you don’t necessarily have to read the bible every day to get closer to God! Although I’m not going to lie, it does help. a lot. its like the bible is a mouthpiece for God, and most Christians (including me) find it very hard to really speak to and hear from God without it.

try finding songs on youtube - look up hillsongs, matt redman, time hughes. Also look up “ http://www.fathersloveletter.com “

Just see how you feel when you listen them, but keep an open heart (I know it sounds wierd, but I mean dont be embarassed or held back). Dont be rushed for time - try to think of nothing else but what your hearing.

You never know - God might be waiting for you right now :)

ps a little prayer will also be good! imagine that its a normal relationship with one of your friends - imagine if you didn’t talk to them for a whole week…it would be wierd, wouldn’t it? try to treat God like your best friend in the entire WORLD, be open with him, and trust him. I assure you, if you do that then he will change your life for the better, like he did with mine.

Well naturally you’ll have to read and study the bible but I don’t recommend you not gong to church on the long run…If it’s becasue your currently hiking the Himalaya and cannot be physically present in a church then you don’t have to worry just have your bible with you and sit ,read,ask questions,or think about it.
