How can I get closer to God?

One simple little thing that I could suggest is to make a list of all the bad things that you can possibly think of… and then, after you have your list… write down the consequences of each thing… think it thru, really put some effort into it, because, Satan is the author of all those inticing thoughts that you are having, but, what he never tells anyone, is what happens… afterward… and every action, has a consequence… see if what you want to do, is worth the consequence… And you can and should ask for prayer, admit to someone trustworthy, how you feel, and ask them to pray for you, and if you want to send in some prayer requests privately, here are some links… godswork.org dailyguidepost.org wjcr.org God gives us power thru his spirit to resist the temptations that come to us, and this is how he wants us to live.. Satan tells us, oh that is just your thoughts, and he makes you want to do certain things.. but, you do not have to do them.. you can resist him, at the thought process.. and he will flee… for awhile… he will never leave all together, and we will never be completely free from his suggestions… as long as we are on this earth.. but, the Holy Spirit is always available, he will answer when you call… God Bless…
