How to gain your moms trust

Well I just turned 13 3 days ago and I am mature enough to do things independantly…but I dont think my moms trusts me. Do yo uknow how I can get her to beleive me. Or do you know why she thinks I am not mature enough!?

Age doesn’t necessarily mean maturity. It’s not like you wake up on your 13th birthday with the word TRUSTWORTHY tatooed on your forehead. You have to show your mother by obeying her, not acting up, and by being mature and respectable. It may take awhile, but she will eventually learn to trust you as long as you don’t get into trouble or act out.

Wow, I couldn’t say it better than Whoopsies222. I just want to say that for someone so young, she knows what she’s talking about. That is the very maturity that skylaresquarepants needs to have to gain her Moms trust. Get there sweetie and then she’ll give you some freedom.

well age has nothin to do with it. it all depends weather or not u’ve done things in the past opt make her not trust u.if not. then maybe do something to proove you r trust worthery, and dont give your mom any attiude that would help the trust factor.good luck..

lol, andyburton, do you think she should become a robot?

look it really isnt about you, its about her… some mothers have a hard time letting their kids grow up and do stuff, they imagine all sorts horrible things happening to their kids and think they’re protecting them by sheltering them…

if you really want to show your mother you are responsible, do stuff without being asked (clean your room, do the dishes once in a while)

but be aware this may not work… some mothers have trouble letting go even at 21 (lol, my mother is one of them…)

Thanks katwoman, I appreciate it.

Good luck with your mom, skylarsquarepants.
